At a first glance, you’d probably think this looks like a flag of some random British territory by Nauru that decided to take a leaf out of the British Antarctic Territory‘s book and not use the Union Jack blue color.
And you’d be right.
Sort of.
What I mean is that it IS a territory, but it’s a territory of New Zealand, hence the Union Jack.
Okay, with that out of the way, the flag is W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L! There is a yellow background (fortunately without the coat of arms on it), and as someone who’s favorite color is yellow, that’s a plus!
And there are 5 stars on the UJ. That doesn’t really give more of a feeling to the flag, but it’s unique, at least!
In conclusion, this is a very good and unique flag. New Zealand sure knows how to make some flags! (Even though they doubted it in 2015, but fortunately, they regained confidence)
—WHAT’S THE NEXT BAD FLAG?—
I will now have this habit of writing a hint for my next good/bad flag post. I will write what continent/country/region the flag is in and that leaves YOU, the reader, to have the next day (or, if it’s a bad flag, the next five days) to figure out what could it be.
Got it?
Okay, your hint is…
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Have fun figuring it out!

Great post! Looking forward to your next one….maybe Montana??

Agree that this flag is a good flag! It’s visually balanced and makes good use of three colors. And it’s not too busy or too bland!
