This flag seems like one of the flags that people know SO MUCH about in one state of the country, but not in the other 49. As an Iowan, I will not only give this flag a good rating, but I will show you what it means (because, after all, this flag flies everywhere in The Moines).
BLUE BACKGROUND: The Des Moines River
WHITE THINGS: The Grand, Locust, and Walnut Street bridges
RED STRIPE: Unknown, but probably to mimic the American flag
So, in conclusion, this flag can be seen at every flag shop across the state of Iowa. And with such meaningful design (and because Des Moines is the capital of Iowa), why not sell it?
P.S. At time of writing, September 2024, this flag is 50 years old (It was adopted on April 15, 1974). Posting this on the 50th birthday of the flag is TOTALLY unintentional.
—WHAT’S THE NEXT BAD FLAG?—
Your hint is…
AFRICA
(Extra hint, it is an old flag.)
See you on Thursday!

Fun fact: Des Moines is French for city of many bridges

Bridges are a key feature in Des Moines. This flag is a simple but pleasing design!
